I originally heard about Herzing through my current job and thought it sounded right for me. Returning to school was new to me after 30 years, but I choose this program because I wanted to try something different and out of my comfort zone.
The biggest challenge I faced was learning how to do online courses and PowerPoint presentations. However, I managed to conquer all obstacles that got in my way with some help from some very helpful people on campus. By giving me different times to turn in assignments and not having to turn in all assignments together, I was able to stay on track and learn. I can definitively say that all the courses I took were valuable in preparing me for my career as I will be using the skills from them all in some way or form!
There are so many people that I have to thank for my success at Herzing! Jerry offered tech support to helped me with doing PowerPoint presentations while Kristen Brady was available to help me every time I had concerns or questions. Instructor Belinda Glover was also a big help in my Administrative Skills Class with Medtrak and Instructor Kara Kalbus was a big help to me with submitting in bio digital assignments. Thank you so much to everyone, I really appreciate it!
After graduation, I already had a job offer as an MA in the asthma allergy clinic. My advice would be to always stay on top of your assignment and never get behind. Don’t forget to always ask a question if you do not understand something, the worst thing you can do is not ask!
